In BEST WESTERN Los Andes de America Hotel we have always believed that our activities should have a positive impact in the community where we operate and in our environment.
That is why we seek for the viability of our business activity, and at the same time we work together with our staff, our visitors and our society in order to contribute to the development of our community, to preserve our cultural heritage and to protect our environment.
Since 2008 we have been working with the Rainforest Alliance training, developing and implementing best sustainable practices based on Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria.
In September of 2011, we obtained the International Verification Seal of “The Rainforest Alliance Verified TM”, for Sustainable Tourism.
We work under 3 sustainability criteria:
We are committed to be socially responsible and to support the development of the community where we operate. We seek to support the development of our employees, their families and our community; and to preserve and promote the Andean culture.
- Andean Communities Weaver Artisans:
We have developed a program to support the weaver artisans of Sicuani, San Jeronimo and Cusco Andean communities providing them training and organizing trade fairs, where they can sell their products and have a culturally interaction with our visitors.
- Organization of Events and Activities in our Hotel:
- Community Services:
Together with our employees and with our partners support, we develop programs to support the communities where we have our business activities.
- Diversity and Inclusion:
We are committed to ensuring that our work supports a healthy environment. We seek to prevent, decrease or eliminated our environmental impact.
Since 2000 we have started to develop environmental management processes with the ISO 14001 System; which has been complemented in 2008 with the implementation of best environmental practices; with the technical assistance from the Rainforest Alliance.
